JETBUS 1 — FIRST-GENERATION DESIGN

Design Scope: Front & Rear Exterior (with Adi Putro Internal Team) • Interior: Dome/Ceiling & Dashboard
Lighting Units: Off-the-shelf headlamp & tail lamp from a Chinese lamp supplier (integrated into custom body surfaces)

EXTERIOR DESIGN

CORE IDENTITY: THE BIRTH OF JETBUS DNA

Jetbus 1 is the first milestone—the first generation that set the foundation of the Jetbus Series. The goal was to define a recognizable “Adi Putro face” that feels modern, clean, and confident on the road an identity strong enough to evolve into future generations.

The front end is designed as one cohesive composition - windshield mass, lower fascia, and contour lines working together as a single identity. The intention is a friendly yet assertive “face”: clean, aerodynamic, and instantly recognizable as the first Jetbus.

The rear design focuses on stability and visual width making the bus feel planted and confident. Panel rhythm and surface breaks are controlled to keep the rear clean and functional, without losing the brand character.

PROPORTION & GLASSHOUSE:
SPACIOUS IMPRESSION AND CLEAN ARCHITECTURE

A large, clean glass area creates an open, comfortable impression for passengers and strengthens the modern silhouette. The body surfaces are kept visually calm so the design reads clearly from a distance—simple, readable, and timeless.

LIGHTING INTEGRATION: MARKET-AVAILABLE UNITS, CUSTOM VISUAL HARMONY

For Jetbus 1, the headlamps and tail lamps were market-available units sourced from a Chinese supplier. The design challenge was integration: shaping the surrounding surfaces, bezels, and transitions so the lamps feel intentional—proportional, unified, and aligned with the overall character.

REAL-WORLD PRODUCTION MINDSET: DESIGNED TO BE BUILT

As a first-generation product, Jetbus 1 balances styling ambition with manufacturability. The surfacing, panel logic, and detailing were developed to remain practical for production while still delivering a fresh and modern look.

Rear Composition: Stable, Wide, and Well-Balanced

As the first generation of the Jetbus Series, Jetbus 1 set the foundation of a repeatable design DNA clean, confident, and instantly recognizable on the road. Its calm surfaces and balanced proportions were shaped to feel modern yet timeless, while the front and rear compositions established a strong “Adi Putro face” that could evolve across future generations. Jetbus 1 is not only a milestone product it is the starting point where a design direction became a legacy.

THE FIRST LINE, A CLEAR IDENTITY, AND ROAD-READY CONFIDENCE

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT — JETBUS 1 (FRONT PANEL)

A moment from the prototype workshop where the first-generation Jetbus identity took physical form. Full-scale panel development helped refine the front-face character, ensure clean lamp integration, and confirm the final stance before production.

INTERIOR DESIGN

DASHBOARD DESIGN
Interior DESIGN Contribution:
Dome/Ceiling and Dashboard as the “Human Experience”

Beyond exterior identity, I designed key interior elements that define the daily experience:

focused on ergonomics, clear instrument readability, and driver confidence
For me, interior design is not decoration it is where the design becomes real through comfort and usability.

Legacy: A First Step That Enabled Generations

Jetbus 1 is the starting line—where a design direction became a repeatable identity. Its success is not only in form, but in how it opened a path for future Jetbus generations to evolve while staying rooted in one recognizable DNA.
